This will make four accredited events in Wyoming's Wind River Country. The new seasonal walks will be available between May 28 and September 30, 2008.
Volkswanderung, German for ??u339 people??u8482 s walk,??u-3 began more than four decades ago to promote health and fellowship. The walks are not races, and they are designed to accommodate walkers of all athletic abilities.

Whether you're a single malt Scotch connoisseur or novice, here's the chance for your palate to compare seven wee drams from Scotland's four regions.
Tickets will be sold through May 27 unless they sell out earlier. Tickets will not be sold at the door, and you must have your ticket and an I.D. to get in. Your $40 ticket will get you a wee dram (one half ounce) of each of seven single malts and palate-cleansing hors d'oeuvres by Atlantic City??u8482 s own Miner's Grubstake.
Call the inn at to purchase tickets with a credit card or buy tickets with cash or check at the Lander or Riverton Chambers of Commerce. Innkeepers Barbara and Bob Townsend will deduct $5 per person from their regular room or cabin rate for ticket holders who make a reservation to stay at the inn on the night of the tasting, May 31, 2008.

Maps, books, pamphlets, and distillery information will be on hand at the tasting. You'll get a "tasting notes" card to record your impressions. Your hosts will lead you on this epic trip to taste uisage beatha (OOSH-ki baah), Scots Gaelic for "water of life."
The retail prices of the seven single malts range from $46 to $99 a bottle. Several of the malt whisky offerings at the tasting mark the first time these whiskies have been offered for sale in Wyoming.
If your schedule does not allow you to attend this tasting, Barbara and Bob will put on a tasting for your company or private party. They will provide the service in the inn or at a venue of your choice in Wyoming. To host your tasting outside Atlantic City, they must obtain your local government agency??u8482 s permissions and permits, which could take several weeks. Barbara and Bob will suggest distilleries??u8482 offerings to match your desires for region, age, and price range, or you may specify a list of single malt Scotches you wish to offer at your tasting.

Historic Horseback Escape

This Historic Horseback Escape package is custom made to be 1-4 days in length and includes lodging at the historic Louis Lake Lodge, meals, horses, equipment, and wranglers. Duration, distance, and package activities are custom made according to the wishes of the group.
Select from riding the original Pony Express Trail, discovering the Oregon Buttes, Sweetwater River, the Oregon and Outlaw Trails via horseback, panning for gold at South Pass City and Miner's Delight, riding horses or pulling Handcarts over the Mormon Trail and visiting the Willie and Martin Handcart sites, or watching Wild Mustangs interact while safely mounted on your saddle horse.
You may also simply enjoy the scenery while hiking, fishing, and viewing wildlife closer to the lodge. At night enjoy the sound of the guitar around a crackling campfire, listen to story-telling and area history before retiring to bed.

Amenities during your stay comprise of, wild horse viewing, accessing historical landmarks and locations, panning for gold, hiking, fishing and wildlife viewing to name just a few.
The land is rugged, big, and spectacular-open as far as the eye can see, covered with sage brush, rocks, juniper, wide basins ans steep sculptured canyons. Large herds of antelope and wild horses roam this area. Duration, distance, and vacation activities are custom make according to the wishes of the group.
